Requirements for Admission

Entrance Exam

St. Benedict Preparatory High School will host its Entrance Exam for current 8th grade students on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 8 a.m. Students should have two #2 pencils, the $25 test fee (cash or check made payable to St. Benedict Preparatory School). Calculators and language translators are not permitted. St. Benedict Preparatory School uses the High School Placement Test (HSPT). Testing reservations are not necessary. Required Forms

Additionally, to meet the requirements set forth by the St. Benedict High School Admissions Committee, students applying for admission in to the school must provide the Director of Admissions with the following information prior to being reviewed by the Admissions Committee (Release of Records).

·    Registration Form 
·    Recommendation Forms
·    Any Individual Education Program (IEP) or Special Education requirements

Upon receiving the above information, the St. Benedict High School Admissions Committee will review the completed file and notify applicants of their admission status soon after the exam is conducted. Transfer Students

Welcome, we are pleased you are interested in our school!

Please take a moment to carefully read over the following steps to transfer into St. Benedict High School.

In order to be considered for sophomore, junior, or senior admissions, the following items must be submitted before a student’s file can be reviewed the St. Benedict High School Admissions Committee (Release of Records) .

·    Application
·    Registration Form 
·    Recommendation Forms
·    Any Individual Education Program (IEP) or Special Education requirements

Additionally, to be admitted, transferring students are required to have earned a specified number of credit hours that are compatible with the St. Benedict High School college prep curriculum;

·    Freshman          Six (6) credit hours
·    Sophomore       Twelve (12) credit hours
·    Junior                Eighteen (18) credit hours
