Requirements for Admission
St. Benedict High School is a college preparatory institution committed to promoting a student body that is ethnically, socially and economically diverse. With this in mind, St. Benedict High School admits the best-qualified applicants regardless of religious affiliation, nationality, race, gender or financial background. The St. Benedict High School Admissions Committee reviews all student files before admitting the student as a member of the Class of 2014.
Additionally, to meet the requirements set forth by the St. Benedict High School Admissions Committee, students applying for admission in to the school must provide the Director of Admissions with the following information prior to being reviewed by the Admissions Committee (elementary_school_academic_release_form.pdf).
· Archdiocese High School Pre-Admission Form or CPS Cumulative Record Card
· Seventh & Eighth Grade (most recent) Report Card
· Seventh Grade Standardized Test Score (Iowa, Terra Nova, etc.)
· Any Special Education Records
Upon receiving the above information, the St. Benedict High School Admissions Committee will review the completed file and notify applicants of their admission status soon after the exam is conducted. Transfer Students

The St. Benedict High School Admissions Committee reviews all student qualifications, including discipline and attendance, before admitting a student as a member of the St. Benedict High School student body. Please take a moment to carefully read over the following steps to transfer into St. Benedict High School.
In order to be considered for sophomore, junior, or senior admissions, the following items must be submitted before a student’s file can be reviewed the St. Benedict High School Admissions Committee (transfer_student_request_for_release_of_records.pdf) .
· Transfer Admissions Application (transfer_application_for_admission.pdf)
· Discipline Appraisal - Student (discipline_attendance_request_student.pdf)
· Discipline Appraisal - School (discipline_attendance_request_school.pdf)
· Current copies of student's transcript with grades, discipline and attendance
· Any Individual Education Program (IEP) or Special Education requirements
Additionally, to be admitted, transferring students are required to have earned a specified number of credit hours that are compatible with the St. Benedict High School college prep curriculum;
· Freshman Six (6) credit hours
· Sophomore Twelve (12) credit hours
· Junior Eighteen (18) credit hours
As a general rule, St, Benedict High School does not accept senior transfers and encourages all students to apply at least two weeks prior the start of the respective semester.
