Robert J. McTigue Scholarship Fund

St. Benedict High School is proud to create the Robert J. McTigue Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is to honor the many years of committed service that Mr. Robert McTigue has dedicated to St. Benedict High School and its students. Mr. McTigue has been a valued and respected Social Studies teacher at St. Benedict High School since 1965. Thousands of students have passed through his classroom and have taken away valuable lessons not just about social studies but about life. In addition to teaching, Mr. McTigue has contributed to the well rounded development of the students as moderator of extracurricular clubs, including the Channel One communications program, ski club, prom committee and much more.

The all‐encompassing experience that Mr. McTigue had at St. Benedict High School is one that we want the recipients of his scholarship fund to practice as well. The Robert J. McTigue Scholarship Fund is designed for select students who demonstrate integrity, dedication, leadership, and commitment to service. This fund is aimed to develop and engage students who view service and learning as keys not only to personal growth, but also to the growth and well‐being of the St. Benedict Community. This award will be given with the expectation that these exceptional students will make significant and lasting contributions to St. Benedict High School. St. Benedict is not just a Catholic school; it is a family and a community.
